OMX Helsinki 25 (OMXH25) – PI


OMX Helsinki 25 is the Helsinki Stock Exchange leading share index. The index consists of the 25 most actively traded stocks on the Helsinki Stock Exchange. The limited number of constituents guarantees that all the underlying shares of the index have excellent liquidity, which results in an index that is highly suitable as underlying for derivatives products. OMXH25 is used as a benchmark index for management of diversified Finnish stock portfolios. Options and futures on OMXH25 are traded at Eurex. The OMXH25 Index is a capitalization weighted stock price index. The maximum weight of one company is limited to 10 percent. The composition of the OMXH25 index is revised twice a year. The numbers of shares used to compute the market value are determined on a quarterly basis. The base date for the OMX Helsinki 25 Index is March 4, 1988, with a base value of 500.

OMX Helsinki Benchmark (OMXHB) – PI, GI, CAP


The OMX Helsinki Benchmark Index consists of the 50 to 70 largest and most traded stocks, representing the majority of sectors. The weight of the constituent stocks is based on the market value adjusted by the free float, which means that only the part of the share capital that is considered available for trading is included in the index. The index serves as an indicator of the overall trend on the Helsinki Stock Exchange and is intended to offer a cost effective index that an investor can fully replicate. Thus OMXHB index is especially attractive for use in investment products and as a comparative index for investors. OMXHB is revised twice a year to ensure that it offers high investability and low transaction costs. The index is also available as a weight capped version called OMXBHCAP and both indexes are calculated as PI and GI and. The base date for OMXHB and OMXHCAP indexes is July 1, 2000, with a base value of 100.

OMX Helsinki All Share (OMXH) – PI, GI, CAP, Sector


The OMX Helsinki All-Share Index includes all the shares listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange. The aim of the index is to reflect the current status and changes in the market. OMX Helsinki Cap index is (OMXHCAP) weight capped version of All-Share Index where the maximum weight of one share is limited to 10% of total market value of the index. OMXH and OMXHCAP indexes are available both as PI and GI. The base date for the OMX Helsinki All-Share and OMX Helsinki Cap Index is December 28, 1990 with a base value of 1000.

OMX Helsinki Sector indexes (HX) – PI, GI


The OMX Helsinki Sector indexes are based on the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) developed by Morgan Stanley Capital International Inc. (MSCI) and Standard & Poor's. GICS is an international classification created to meet investors' demands for more precise, exhaustive and standardized classification. The GICS sector classification is divided into four different levels, comprising sectors, industry groups, industries and sub-industries. The indexes covers all shares listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange and are calculated up to level 3 (Industry) for each GICS sector. The base date for the Helsinki Stock Exchange's Sector Indexes is July 1, 2000, with a base value of 100. The indexes are available as PI and GI.
