3th – 5th characters stand for the code of the underlying, for example the company code of the share in the trading system

8th - 10th characters refer to the exercise price (inaccurate value)

If the 10th character of a trading code is a letter:

"X" as the last character of the trading code indicates that original conditions and terms of the security have been changed. The change can be found from the issuer´s Stock Exchange releases.

Other characters (for example C, H or T) at the end of the trading code indicate that the security in question involves special features described in the terms of the security.

Example 8ONOKEW100:

8 = Year if expiry, 2008
O = put warrant, month of expiry, expires in March
NOK = underlying
EW = standard
100 = exercise price
